Phillip Clissett was a English "badger". A man who made chairs from green wood, with rush seats. Who was making around: 1895. His pole turned ladder-back chair. Was adopted from an earlier date. His design was adopted by others after him? To create the Chair we Know today. Clissett’s rush seat. Was replaced by a timber seat, but all the other essentials where adopted.
